How to check an exchanger's license in a minute
- Find the full legal entity name and BIN on the exchanger's website, usually in the footer or the user agreement.
- Open the registry of licensed operators on Cryptokurs or on the National Bank of Kazakhstan website.
- Compare the name, BIN and license number. If anything differs or the company is missing, it is not a licensed exchanger.
Signs of an illegal exchanger
- no BIN, license number or legal address;
- payment is requested to a private person's card;
- no verification, or an offer to bypass it;
- a rate far better than every licensed exchanger;
- a website that copies a known brand with a domain one letter off.
What a license gives the customer
A licensed operator must identify customers, keep transaction records and work through bank accounts. For you that means a clear agreement, receipts for the tax office and a legal entity you can hold accountable.
