What is Bitcoin

The first decentralised cryptocurrency, with supply capped at 21 million coins.

Bitcoin (BTC) was launched in 2009 by a person or group using the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto. It runs without a central issuer: miners confirm transfers and the rules are written in open-source code.

The BTC price in tenge depends on the global dollar price and the tenge rate. The smallest unit is the satoshi. Bitcoin can be bought legally from licensed exchangers.
